This website consists of a series of essays about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and categories of interest in the study of religion as they are worked out in show. I have chosen twelve topics along with episodes from the show that best illustrate the topic. You can pick and choose issues that interest you; however, if you walk through them in order, you may find more depth in the analysis. Where possible, I will point to other essays to explain issues arising.

Each topical essay will focus on one or two episodes of the show. For reasons of copyright, I cannot include many videos clips, but do use screenshots to advance my argument. You can typically stream Buffy on a few sites (e.g., as of writing this, the show is available in Canada on Crave and Disney+).
